About us
Hi! Welcome to Blooming Buds Consultancy! My name is Grace and I am a passionate teacher with almost 28 years’ experience. I started as an Early Childhood teacher (Early Childhood and Primary trained) who was known to be “great with children with additional needs”.
I have taught both in Queensland and New South Wales in the Catholic, State, and Independent school systems. During my extended maternity leave I returned to study and completed a Graduate Certificate in Behaviour Management (UNE) Soon after completing this I worked in a Behaviour School in Queensland and then as a specialist in Special Education in a mainstream setting. During this time I also completed my Master in Special Education with a major in Behaviour and Learning Difficulties.
I believe every child can learn and this has been my motto in every role I’ve held. I have been responsible for Transition to School programs and have worked in close collaboration with multiple agencies. I am passionate about teaching children and their families’ ways to identify, cope with, and regulate emotions. This passion led me to gain accreditation as a Social and Emotional Consultant.
I’m an accredited trainer for ‘You Can Do It’, a national and international social emotional program. I am able to deliver whole school training in person and online. My extensive experience ranges from supporting individual students, whole class, and whole school programs. Our services here at Blooming Buds Education focus on the child and their family. We aim to provide individualised programs to suit all needs.
My Qualifications:
Bachelor of Ed Primary and Early Childhood
Grad Dip Behaviour Management
Masters Special Education

“Childhood is not a race to see how quickly a child can read, write and count. It is a small window of time to learn a develop at the pace that is right for each individual child. Earlier is not better”
— Magda Gerber, Early Childhood educator from Hungary
